Students will learn how to make beautiful brush stroke surface decorations using cobalt blue wash as well as traditional white blue ware to create calligraphy on their pottery. Students will learn how to use Amaco underglazes to decorate their ceramic work and will learn painting techniques such as watercolor, sumi ink and ceramics painting techniques. Students will learn how to paint natural subjects such as trees, flowers, butterflies and birds.
Materials needed are a pencil, liner brush, different sizes soft pointy brushes and bisqued smooth white pots.
