COMMUNITY DARKROOM
Fine art photography used to be synonymous with the meditative practice of exposing light sensitive sheets of paper and immersing them in a series of chemical baths in an elusive search for the best print. There is still no subsitute for a fine silver gelatin print and at VisArts, you have everything you need to learn this tradition process.

The darkroom at VisArts is dedicated to providing the very best equipment and environment to encourage the pursuit of excellence in traditional black and white photography. Our facilities are designed to handle film processing, printmaking, toning, dry mounting and mat cutting. We have a professional staff on duty to assist our clients with all aspects of darkroom procedures.

CHEMISTRY
All chemicals for film and print development are provided.

DARKROOM HOURS
Darkroom hours are effective beginning June 16 and ending August 24. The darkroom will be closed the July 4th weekend.
Saturdays, 1:00-5:00pm
Sundays, 1:00-5:00pm

Day rental: $20/hour
Passes: Expires 6 months from date issued
